God called Pastor Clint Miller, his wife Candy and their
two sons, Cheyenne and Cody to North San Diego County to start
new ministries for the Lord Jesus Christ. December 2, 1990
was the opening day of North County Baptist Church. This opening
day was an historical success with 165 in attendance. It was
a huge start and twelve years later is a big success! It's
truly an American success story

North County Baptist Church started at Juniper and Grand,
downtown Escondido, in a store front. The church grew fast
and it was not long before the enthusiastic congregation grew
out of their first location. The church then moved to 1855
E. Valley Parkway in Escondido. This new location was an industrial
complex and was not real conductive to church growth, but
through hard work and God's hand the church family continued
to grow. It wasn't long before the church had outgrown their
second location and once again the search was on for a new
church building.
There was a facility at 7th and Escondido Blvd. that Pastor
Miller had noticed when he first arrived in Escondido. This
was the place that God would eventually give the church, he
thought in his heart. Through faith, he called that church
on the phone every two months to see if they were ready to
sell. Then one day it happened; they said, "YES"!
That was in October 1995. North County Baptist Church was
busting out at the seams and it desperately needed a new home.
An agreement was reached and their opening service was February
4, 1996 at 221 W. 7th Ave.
This church building was everything for which they had prayed
- a beautiful sanctuary, a kitchen, a dining hall, an educational
building, and a administration building. This totaled 23,200
sq.ft. PRAISE THE LORD!
North County Baptist is celebrating fourteen miracle years
with twenty-nine Sunday School Classes, a K - 12 Christian
Academy, an AWANA Program and a full auditorium.
Yes, it's a miracle story - an American dream!
Several years ago while Pastor Miller was out on visitation,
he looked up and saw a corner piece of property at Highway
78 and Bear Valley Parkway. It was so beautiful it took his
breath away. Right then and there God spoke to Pastor Miller
and said "claim and climb this mountain!" It was
12.6 acres of completely usable raw land at one of San Diego's
busiest intersections, and it was only one mile from their
existing location.
There was one problem. The man who owned it was putting in
a mall and it seemed unstoppable.
Pastor Miller prayed and called the owner on the phone. To
make a long story short, with much prayer and fasting, that
12.6 acres is now owned by North County Baptist Church!
Praise The Lord.
Yes, these are exciting days for the North County Baptist
Family. They hope to break ground by the end of 2005.
